Valentine's Day aka Single's Awareness Day

Friday, February 6, 2009
If we couldn't tell from all the red and pink decorations at our local drugstores and Wal-Mart's, Valentine's Day is around the corner. For those who have boo's it can be a great day filled with romance and for others who are boo-less it can be somewhat of a drag. But ladies let us get it together and remember what V-Day is about....love! Not just the romantic love but the unconditional love we have for the ones we care about. Yep that means mom, dad, bro and/or sis, bff's, besties, and most of all yourself! I firmly believe that everyday is Valentine's Day and you should tell the ones you love how you feel ALL the time however since it is a special occassion, make the most of it.

For all my single ladies, don't have a sour face cause he hasn't put a ring on it...honey your still free! So I reccommend taking the day as Single's Awarness Day. Embrace your independence and the love you have for yourself. Do something nice for your best girlfriend and treat yourself. Here are my Top 3 ideas to make your Single's Awareness Day the best you've ever had.

1. Pamper, Pamper, Pamper!

If you got the urge to slpurge get the works. I'm talking massage, facial and nails. But if your a budget baby like me opt for a relaxing bubble bath, paint the nails a new color and give yourself a facial that will have you glowing. Take a peek at some of my fav's:

If you love a little chocolate try,

Carol's Daughter SweetHoneyDipChocolateBrownSugah $7.50

Need a new nail color? Try OPI's La Collection De France with their fabulous deep color.

You Don't Know Jacques!

Wanna save the planet and have your face feeling flawless? Try Alba products with their all natural organic ingredients.

Alba Facial Maska Papaya Enzyme $12.99

2. Give a lil love...old school style.

Remeber Valentine's Day in elementary school? Yes they were filled with cartoon inspired V-Day cards. So why not do it again? Its less expensive and there are plently more to go around to put a smile on everyone's face.

3. Make it a Ladies Night

So the other chicas are single and loving it too? Grab the wine, cheese, desserts and all the ex-boyfriend stuff! I'm talking cards, pics anything you want to share and dish! There's nothing better than getting with your girls and talking about boys. You might find that your friends have some pretty funny stories about their past loves. And by the end of the night you all will realize how great it feels to be loved and to love each other.
